America's Boating ClubŪ is a nation wide non profit organization dedicated to making boating safer and more enjoyable by teaching classes in seamanship, navigation and related subjects. Its 45,000 members are organized into some 450 Squadrons (or local chapters), divided into 33 Districts, subdivisions which serve primarily as a mechanism to stimulate communications between neighboring squadrons and between the local and national levels. Member activities revolve around the three primary objectives of USPS: community service, continuing education, and enjoying the friendship and camaraderie of our fellow members
Community service work includes teaching Public Boating Classes, providing Seminars on nautical topics of interest such as GPS, performing Vessel Safety Checks, and assisting NOAA in keeping nautical charts up-to-date (Cooperative Charting).
Continuing education for members is also an important part of America's Boating Club activities. Members teach a wide assortment of courses in Seamanship, and Navigation, as well as related subjects such as Weather, Cruise Planning, Marine Electronics, Engine Maintenance, Sailing and other marine related topics.
Its members also participate in a wide variety of social activities, both on and off the water, such as Dinners, Rendezvous (picnics) and Cruises.

Southeastern New England
America's Boating Club Southeastern New England, District 34 includes cities and towns in the Greater Boston area, extending west to Worcester, north to Cape Ann, south to Brockton, Cape Cod, and Rhode Island. District 34 and its member Squadrons provide many maritime-oriented educational programs for members and the general boating public.
